Have a new PC up and running, all seems well in windows.
This is the spec:
Intel 3ghz P4 800mhz FSB
Coolermaster heatsink and fan
Asus P4C 800 Deluxe motherboard
Corsair Twinx 1024 Memory. 2x 512mb XMS DDR 3200.
128Mb Hercules Radeon 9800 Pro
Plextor 52/32/52 cdrw
1.44mb floppy drive
36.7gb WD Raptor SATA Drive
120GB Maxtor SATA Drive
550Watt CWT SATA Dual Fan PSU
Creative Labs Sound Blaster Audigy Platinum 2
Panasonic 16x DVD Rom

When I go to load a game, 99% of the time it crashes back to the desktop. Sometimes it does last maybe 30seconds or so, and then again, whoosh, it's gone. :(
I've installed Catalyst 3.4 drivers, and everything else it up to date.

Where am I going wrong, and what can I do to fix this thing? It's eating me alive!!!

Is the power connected to it? Is the fan functioning? Have you tried another video card? Have you tried to get a replacement card from Hercules?

Power is connected, fan is functioning (the card still gets pretty hot mind you).
Haven't tried another card or got a replacement yet.

Any other suggestions please?

run with the side off your chassis, could just be a heat buildup (i get this with my R9700 pro)

Trust me I know what I'm doing... ooops, grab the cat... (Click me name to see me spec)
