GeForce4 is underclocking stock memory speed....?

I have a MSI GeForce4 TI4400 video card that is stock 275 core and 550 memory. I checked the msi clock control panel the other day and the memory had been reset to 400. I pushed the default button and it went back up to 550. Today is now the forth time this has happened in the past couple of days so something is up. I don't overclock the card so I haven't fried it. Could it be a driver issue? I am using detonater 43.45 since they are supposed to work better than the newest ones (44.03) for the Matrix game. Anyway, has anyone had this problem? The card has been perfect since I bought it a year ago and I am hoping this isn't a signal of its demise! My mobo and cpu temps are just fine. (also not overclocked)

Discovered that this only happens when I wake the computer up from stand by. If I restart the computer the clock speeds are where they are supposed to be. Strange.

Funny I only lose 10fps in Q3 when memory is set to 400 rather than 550. That doesn't seem right does it?. Maybe my MSI Clock panel is not telling the truth.

Thanks for any help.

Well I upgraded my drivers to 44.03 and now it doesn't reset the ram to 400. Strange maybe my last drivers got messed up.

edit-It is the 43.45 drivers! I changed to 44.03 and I couldn't make it do it. I went back because the Matrix looks like hell with 44.03 and the same thing happens again. Go figure.

Well at least you found out why its doing that.

My suggestion?
Who the hell uses standby, turn the damn comp off for god's sake, or just let the damn screensaver come on or turn your monitor off.

Also i would try some other drivers, like the 41.09s, or 42.xx.

Long live ATI.
