Any Difference? (Built or Powered by ATI)

I'm just wondering if there are any differences in performance between the Sapphire Radeon 9800 Pro 256MB and the ATI Radeon 9800 Pro 256MB. Are the ones built by ATI any better or worse? Or are they pretty much just the same? I'm thinking of getting my hands on one of the 9800 Pro 256MB cards but the ones built by ATI don't seem to be out yet. I can only find ones by Sapphire (BTW, I'm in Canada so my choices are limited). Should I just go for the Sapphire or wait for the one built by ATI?

The processors are exactly the same, the only difference will be the type and rating of memory used.

And this is only a factor if you plan to overclock. All 9800 PROS have the same memory speed clocks by default as far as I know.

You might want to do a little research in the type of memory with the Sapphire cards, maybe somebody here can fill you in on that...

Does anyone know where I can find that info, I've tried looking but I can't find any specs on what kind of memory the Sapphire card is using, so I can't compair the two.

Another few questions; what about the AIW cards, do they have the same performance? Is the only difference the extra connections? Is there any performance decrease from having so many connections? Thanks in advance for all the info!!

Saphire generally uses the same RAM as ATI for their "full version" cards. Since you're not looking at a "light" version of the card, it's probably exactly the same card.

Saphire is a subsidiary of PC Chips. They dont make the best mobos and their stuff is not made from best quality.
The Ati card comes with 3 times the warranty more support and are much easier to rma should the need arise. My problem with Ati is the difference in retail price between Canada and the US.
