I just purchased a Planar PL201 LCD Monitor and I'm wondering what graphic card I should purchase. The monitor has a DVI output which I will use. I would like to spend less than $200. fwiw - the computer is running on a Athlon 650MHz and 384MB memory.
Thank you for your suggestions.

You better tell us what do you use computer for?
otherwise, if you are talking about which video card supports for LCD, then from the worst GeForce4MX to the best Radeon9800 or FX5900, they all supports for LCD

Then I would go with an ATI Radeon 8500LE or 9100, they are basically the same thing.
Neways, even though you do no gaming, I would recommend an ATI over nVidia, because what you do would benefit from high image quality. ATI's image quality is noticably better than nVidias.
Another option is Matrox, but theyre more expensive.
The 8500/9100 should cost you around 80 bux.

Well heck, if you're never gaming, the cheapest Radeon you can find will do. 7000, 7100, 7200, 7500, 8500, 9000, 9100, 9200... whatever.

All Radeons have excellent RAMDACs for good display quality.

I would skip the 8500LE, it wont do multi monitor.
I love multi monitor.
