Leadtek Winfast Geforce FX 5900 TDH MyVIVO 128MB
What do you think about this card ?
I'm building a computer right now and i think about getting this one. How does it compare to R9700 / R9800 PRO ?

The only advantage I can think of is that the FX5900N-U allows you the VIVO function without a second card or the aditional price of an AIW (maybe one of the few times Nvidia is the less expensive solution in this range). So if you plan on watching/editing video on your machine (but don't need the highest quality [or a TV tuner]) then it's probably your best choice. As for simply playing games/ running apps, it's a toss up in performance. And then it's a question of price again; it's mre for the FX5900.

Like most have said before your most economical choice is the 9700 series if you can get 'em. If price is no concern, then look for the features you like/dislike. The 9800P and 5900N-U are pretty close (but it depends on how/what you play).

I have seen a few stores selling the FX 5900 Ultra cards with 256 Mb, but only on one card maker. And the cheaper version is supposed to be with 128 Mb, but I haven’t seen them, especially from Leaktek. So if you know where you can get this card please share.

well ok, i've found this card in one of the israeli's online shops, so i guess it wont help you much.
it's actually not that expensive. comparing the Hercules Prophet 3D, it's a little less then 3% more expensive then the 9700 PRO and about 17% cheaper then the 9800P (128MB)
notice that it's not FX 5900 Ultra, but FX 5900

If you want the card for gaming, a $200 dollar 9700/pro would beat it up.

Thanks, you right. Off hand I don’t recall seeing any reviews on the 5900, most if not all have been on the 5900 Ultra. If the card is just as fast or very close, less 128 Mb, and much cheaper I might consider it, but I know very little about it and not being able to get, let alone read about it sure doesn’t help.

If it's only 17% cheaper than a 9800 Pro, you should buy the 9800. It would run circles around it.
