I'm going to buy a HP Pavilion ze4357ea notebook next week.
(AMD Athlon XP-M 2400+ / 2x256Mb DDR 266Mhz / 40Gb HD / Integrated ATI Mobility Radeon up to 64Mb)

I'm not really a fanatical gamer, but I would like to be able to smoothly run Rise of Nations on this notebook.
(RoN minimum requirements: PIII 500 / 128MB / 16Mb 3D)
(RoN recommended: PIII 1Ghz / 256Mb / 32Mb 3D)

Is an integrated ATI Mobility Radeon 64Mb enough for this? Because it isn't really the most recent graphics chip.

I think it's the first Radeon Mobility (the one before the 7500 I guess). If it would be a 7500 or a 9000, they would surely put that in their description I think.

The first Ati mobility chipset was based on the original Radeon LE, I believe. A Radeon without a T&L unit.

I don't know what kind of game rise of nations is, but the old Radeon LE should be able to handle most games at low detail settings if you have a decent (1800 or better) CPU, but it won't be a real gaming monster.
