Save the file to your hard drive and then browse in Windows Explorer to where you saved it. Right click on the file and select Run As Administrator.

how you D/L the file makes no diference, always save them to a folder, saves a lot of trouble when you have issues, you don't have to D/L again, but the acccess violation 0004, usually either memory or some problem with compatabliity, did you try right clicking on setup.exe and select run as admin, are you using Win 7x64

Perhaps DEP is causing the installer to malfunction? Try setting the DEP attribute on the installer that you downloaded, then run it again (do the right-click, Run as Administrator like I suggested before as well, just for good measure).

You completely ignored half of my post though, telling you to set the DEP attribute on the installer. If you didn't understand how to do it or what it was, then say so. I'll gladly explain it to you.

To set the DEP attribute:

Click Start, click Run, type sysdm.cpl, and then click OK.
On the Advanced tab, under Performance, click Settings.
On the Data Execution Prevention tab, click Turn on DEP for all programs and services except those I select, and then click Add to add the programs that you do not want to use the DEP feature.

When you get to the last step, browse to, and select the installer for the dvd flick program that you've downloaded.

Well this is the last trick I have:
Install Windows Installer Cleanup Utility and then install CC cleaner.

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301
Windows Installer Cleanup Utility
this will uninstall/cleanup failed installations
http://www.ccleaner.com/
To install CC cleaner

Run the Windows Installer Cleanup Utility, then scan using CC cleaner to delete the registry entries.
Good Luck

Have you run chkdsk to ensure you do not have any bad sectors on your hard drive?
