My hard drive died on me last week, so I had to install all of my
software again from scratch on a new hard drive.

The MTG Starter 1999 box set came with a CD-ROM game that I
reinstalled. In that game, you play against the computer in a few
advanced-level (vs. expert) games to learn the rules of the game.
However, the 4th and 5th levels (i.e., games) were to be downloaded
from the Internet as game patches once you had beaten the first three
levels. Those web links on the Wizards site are now dead, so I was
wondering if anyone out there happened to have the game patches for
that MTG Starter 1999 game.

I know that there have been several newer versions of those MTG
tutorial CD-ROM games, but I have always liked the 1999 version the
best. If you can help me out, please, reply to the newsgroup *and* via
e-mail.

Thanks,
Chad

The edonkey filesharing network has a couple of matches for MTG Starter
1999. It seems to be a very rare file and I don't know if those are the
patches that you speak of or if they are something else. They are 5-7 mb in
size.
