Startup Logo

Whats the startup logo file in Windows ME I reeeeeallly want to change it.
It use to be vgalogo.rle but they had to make some changes so they could give windows a new name.

Nobody knows? Someday long after I'm dead this post will still be on a server somewhere. A question unanswered... Pretty sad. Well my dying wish is to know how to change the frigin Windows ME logo.

Man, just look for it, search for all the graphics files out there, you'll find it, I am just too lazy to do the search for you now... heh

I have not installed WindowsME, but you might try looking for something comparable to Settings - Control Panel - Sounds.

It's called logo.sys but you won't find it.

However, if you create an appropriately sized image in Paint or whatever, save it to c:\ as logo.sys, Windows should display that instead.

Can't remember the correct size but I believe it's the same as logos.sys (shutdown screen) which you should find in C:\WINDOWS

I did a little searching and I found. It works for Win95 and Win98, but I'm not sure if this works for WinME. Might want to take a look anyway.
