ASUS is the best company ever

No one will convince me otherwise. They make the best motherboards, graphics cards (although they don't make a pro or uktra version =( ), drivers, etc.
Plus they make the highest quality parts. Asus rocks!

ASUS SUCKS!! I tried switching my PIII 450 over onto an ASUS... couldnt even get through windows install without it blue screening thrice, and locking up....

hehe actually I hear Asus rocks.. but it didnt work for me and I lost 30GB of data because of it...

Well most of our update programs use the internet. You download a small installation file, and when you click "install", the files it installs comes from the internet. There are some versions of upgrades (not sure which ones) that you can download the whole thing and update off-line, although the file you initially download is the same size and would take the same speed as it would to do it the other way.

thanks i finally got it last night, before it would get to 20 to 30% and just kind of stall, i guess your servers were busy with everybody else updating also. so im back on now.I just hate the online updates where you have to stop everything else and wait to tell it ok for the next step to take place.

Normally I would totally agree. We tell everybody we see to buy ASUS. We use mostly ASUS mobos and have very little trouble but ASUS just pissed me off royally.

Our company just recently got a hold of some ASUS mobos with 1.5v only AGP slots. The video cards out customers picked were 3.3v only cards and they do NOT fit. I am pissed at Asus for not suppling a universal AGP slot or warning of a possable compatability problem and I am pissed at all the makers of all video cards because they do not tell you what voltage a given card runs. They all say what x (1x, 2x, 4x) but just try to find out what voltage a card runs at.

Even though you responded to macrovirgo I assume your Re: was aimed at me. In spite of the fact that my wording is not clear what I meant was that I hate people who stir it up and do not help others and that they are kids in spite of actual age. I don't hate young people. Young people are the future.

Also I was on the rag cause we had computers to deliver and couldn't cause of a problem that was impossable to foresee. I still can't believe ASUS would be so irresponsible as to use a semi propritary AGP slot and not warn customers about it.

Well on the car front I'd have to put the Renault 5, the first true 'Super Mini', as the case for the defence. I used to own a 5 but never the GT Turbo I really wanted. Also how about the classic Citroen stuff?? I mean the DS was so far ahead of its time it's nearly 30 years on that other people are even starting to see just how advanced it was.

As for IT, Ubisoft is probably in your mind but have you considered that it was the French behind much of the EU Anti Trust case? Mandriva doesn't do a bad job on the Linux front.
