If it is not software/Op sys related, then it could be a power supply
failing,
Motherboard failing, CPU overheating, Bad memory or needs to be
reseated, video card failing or needs to be reseated. Make sure all
the fans are running (even the Power supply fans). make sure the
inside of the case is clean and not dust ridden.

When it reboots, enter bios and look for the system monitoring if your
bios has it and see what temperature it reports for the CPU and Mother
Board. Good Idea to do that after the system has warmed up.

If it is software related, do what Nepatsfan suggests. Could even be a
virus causing your troubles

Go to Start -> Control Panel -> System.
On the Advanced page of System Properties click on the Settings
button in the Startup and Recovery section.
Uncheck Automatically restart in the System failure section.

Now, when the blue screen pops up you should be able to record
the information that's displayed. Be certain to write down the
entire stop error message. Be on the lookout for anything that
looks like a file name, something like drivername.sys.

Once you have that info, you can start your troubleshooting here:

http://aumha.org/win5/kbestop.htm

If you're unable to find a solution, post back in a new thread
with the stop error message as well as what steps you've taken in
trying to resolve this issue.

Good luck

power supply is brand new. And it comes up just fine in the bios when going
through PC health and testing the amps its all working just fine. Heat
inside is well withen safe boundries only 43 for the CPU. I turned off auto
restart and fast writes in the bios and now waiting for for a random
restart. So wish me luck!!

I just posted the same question a few days ago. I'm stumped. A few people
responded to the post, saying to goto control panel>administrative
tools>event viewer to see if something is erroring. I checked and nothing.
I'm also running norton av and firewall and I have a router, hummm. Maybe
something with that combination is making it do that, but my dad's computer
runs through the router and he has norton on he too, he he said he doesn't
have any problems. If you find a fix for it let me know, I will do the same.
What brand/model router do you have?

John
