Hi I have a Treo 600 using Palm desktop to synch with Outlook as well
as general backup, installation to and from the Treo.

I am happy with that setup..

However I also have recently got a Clie NX73.

The Clie comes with it's own Palm Desktop version and different other
windows files \ progs.

Thought I'd gets some info before I try and install the Clie's PC
software.

I would prefer to have a full integrated and singular palm desktop and
not duplicate the software on my PC.

Anyone doing this?

My order of preference for these devices is Treo first, Clie second as
I use the Treo more often.

Is there a way to install a generic Palm desktop yet keep
functionality for both devices (and hopefully all the other extras
that usually come with the device CDs)?

Cheers

Pete

My wife and I each have a Palm device. Each one has a name and when I
sync oine or the other to the desktop the desktop recognizes which is
being synced. When I opent he desktop software there's her calendar and
mine and her contacts and mine. One desktop software manages both
handhelds.

Hope this helps.

My wife and I each own a PalmPilot handheld. There's one version of the
desktop software on our computer but each hadnheld has its own name
and the desktop knows which is which when they're synced. Each handheld
has its own desktop calendar and contacts. Two handhelds, one desktop
software, no confusion.

That sound just what I want.

Both my Treo and Clie come with specifically tailored software. Even
Palm Desktop is installed in different folders for some mad reason.

What software you using?

Are the devices different or the same?
