What PSU do you have? Is It higher than about 350Watts and do you have adaquate (sp?) case cooling for a card that produces so much heat? Also have you plugged in the extra power connector?

try to underclock your card. eVga sells their cards overclocked from 450/425 to 500/500 which causes problems with several games and benchies...

I have a 420 antec PS.....that shouldnt be the prob... And that reminds me... i've seen screenshots of benchies showing a tab that lets you adjust core/mem rates... I do NOT have that tab with 44.03 dets.

Just a quick word about the Antecs, MOST are Awesome, but there were some compatibility issue with some of them and SOME Dx9 cards. I remember there being R9500/9700 compatibility issues (mainly because they were the only ones out at the time) Now this is likely not the case if the Antec power supply is new, but you might just wanna drop by the Antec site and check if they have any knowledge base reports on this. It was a minor issue, but it did make the rounds earlier in the year. It's VERY likely NOT the problem, but just in case, all you lose is a small amount of time checking with Antec (and you can even check while waiting for the new card if you are still RMA'ing the old one. Just a thought, to avoid getting a new card with the same problem.

And not having the sliders sounds strange, you can underclock your card using overclocking utilities too, try Powerstrip or Rivatuner, they may work. I'm not sure if they support the latest drivers for Nvidia I only saw the Det 43.XX at theGURUof3D.

This may be repetitive, but did you install the latest Mobo AGP drivers too?

Otherwise Sorry, dunno.
