Hello,
Playing FM2005. Has anyone managed to get a friendly arranged during the
season? Arranging pre-season friendlies was no problem. Even Inter Milan
visited my newly promoted Go Ahead Eagles side (dutch league) (2-2, won
after pens). I used to arrange friendlies during the season, away games
against amateur clubs. That way i could keep my reserves match fit. But in
FM2005 no-one wants to come, no amateurs home and away, no league clubs even
if i offer them all revenues.

Now the winter break is coming up. IRL most clubs go to spain or turkey to
prepare for the 2nd half of the season, but in FM2005 all clubs reject my
offer for a tour :( The only way to get games is to play against my reserves
and that's no fun.

Why are my offers for a friendly not accepted? My clubs reputation is
national. Playing reserves in the first team, even in a friendly, was a good
way to keep their morale up.

grtz,
JW
