Creating a dual boot

Does anyone know how to decode this "multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(1)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Professional" /fastdetect" because I need to write one of my own to my boot in my primary because it only boots if my secondary is in the computer and loads windows off the Primary. Where is the boot file I need to edit and change?

and i goto it by hitting windows+pause
then going to advanced then startup and recovery and edit.
I just need to know how to read that code in the post above.

I think ive figured it out... its really simple once and just took a quick glance at it as I looked into this post.
