How do I find out in which file extension is my folder/files in?

I'm a little unclear what it is you are asking but if you wish file
extensions to be displayed in folders then ..
Open Windows Explorer
then Tools / Folder Options / View (tab) then look down and UNCHECK the box
that says "Hide extensions for known file types"
