Have I got a list for you! I've compiled all of the top graphics cards, from worst to best:

(levels with an equal sign means they're pretty much on par with each other, give or take a benchmark or two)

8. Radeon 9500 = Geforce4 Ti4200 = Geforce FX 5600
7. Geforce4 Ti 4400, 4800SE
6. Geforce4 Ti 4600, 4800
5. Geforce FX 5600 ULTRA Rev 1 = Radeon 9600 PRO
4. Geforce FX 5600 ULTRA Rev 2 = Radeon 9500 PRO
3. Geforce FX 5800 ULTRA = Radeon 9700
2. Geforce FX 5900 = Radeon 9700 PRO
1. Geforce FX 5900 ULTRA = Radeon 9800 PRO

Although I'm sure some might disagree. :)

------------------
Radeon 9500 w/256 bit memory bus @ 367/310
AMD AthlonXP 2000+
3dMark03: 3439

I'd also just add

the FX5600Utlra < R9600Pro from what I've seen.

AND

the FX5600Ultra Rev.2 ~= R9500Pro > R9600Pro

That's just what I've seen the Ultra Rev.2 is DAMN good, the regular Ultra is a little less than the R9600Pro, but pretty close (maybe not worth mentioning but I DO have my pride  ).

Im going to be save and get a 9700 non-pro, only for the fact that 9700pro's are not refundable off of newegg.. and the ones that are are close to 400 dollars. I rather pick up a simple 9700 non pro for 200 dollars. If it turns out I dont like I can always get my refund.

Great choice!

(Note list above changed as per Ape's suggestion. I'm going to leave Rev1 as = to the 9600 PRO because they're not remarkably different as far as performance goes, IMHO.

Hmmm. Where will I put the 9600 non-pro? equal to the Ti4400 I think... but maybe it's closer to the Ti4200? I need benchmarks!)

Yes the 9700 Non-pro always a good 'sound' choice.

As for where to put the 9600non-pro I don't know I wouldn't put it anywhere, Silly thing with alot of peotential and hobbled by crummy TSOP ram! Put it in a freakin' DELL!
Forget about looking for benchmarks, I haven't even SEEN one!
It's like the Female O, you hear about it, but is it Real?

I still disagree with where you put the 9600pro, but that's cause the FX5600Ultra rev.1 is touching me!

But yes the margin of difference is like +/- 1-2%, so that's ok. The other thing is I'll put my R9600P against any rev.1 !

But yes, agree with the kudos on the 9700NP!
