I am using Xp pro and recently down laoded sp2 which appeared to work fine. I
then had a problem with (no sound) from my speakers and reloaded from
suppliers CD creative sound blaster 5.1 this appeared to work fine. The
following day when I tried to start my computer all I got was the initial
scroll on the top of the screen, then black out & bleep scrolling( the
keyboard & mouse were dead) so I could not access safe mode. I turned it on/
off 4/5 times same result, I then left it alone for 4hrs and when i restarted
to try & tackle the problem, the computer worked fine!!!. I have uninstalled
the sound driver which had no affect. I have also tried system restore to a
date when it was working o.k I tested on/off after this and it seemed to work
o.k. Low and behold next day the problem is back again. I have managed to get
back into it now and consequently I leave the computer on all the time now
but would love to sort this GLITCH out before I loose my mind. Useful & funny
comments welcome. Thanks
