Hiya all, I'm using a radeon 9800 pro(128mb) an was wondering..would I see an incrase in performance if I increased the size of my virtual memory. To about 1-3 gb? Would that be safe? I have a 80GB-7200rpm HD so I'm not worried about loosing the space. Is there such thing as to much virtual memory being bad for your cpu?

safe? yes
increase in performance? no

There's no reason (as far as i know) use more virtual memory unless you are filling it up (in which case i imagine there would be some very unhappy programs).

Also, I'm not quite sure why you mentioned having a Radeon 9800 pro 128MB, as that doesn't really have much to do with virtual memory. Suffice it to say that if, hypothetically, your textures were being stored in virtual memory, you'd be in deep trouble.

virtual memory uses your hard drive as a temporary replacement for ram when youre ram is full, i don't think it will help increase the performance when you increase it.
