Is it possible to completely save the settings that I have now and move them
to a partition on my hard drive so that I can wipe clean the C partition and
reinstall xp? I have a 30 gb NTFS HD which is split into 3 partitions. Can
anyone take me through the process and recommend a way of totally wiping
clean the c partition.

TIA

Clean install (format disk) Boot to the XP setup CD,press 'R" for the repair prompt, and run the command DISKPART to remove the
existing partition, and then boot to CD, and run Setup.

Save settings and data with the Files and Settings Transfer Wizard (FAST wizard): Go To: http://www.aumha.org/win5/a/fast.htm
