Hello all,
I have 2 hard drives and one cr/rw and 1 dvd/rw. I currently have the 2
hard drives as primary master and primary slave and the two cd's as
secondary master and slave. I was never quite sure if this is the most
efficient setup. Is there a preference as to the order these should be
connected? ie. 1 hard disc and one cd on primary and same on secondary.
Thanks for any input

Depeands on what you need to do. Know that on a given IDE "strand" (IDE
Channel), you can only read or write (one or the other) to one device at a
time. So.. If you burn a lot, you want your burner on a different "strand"
(IDE Channel) than the hard drive you are burning from. Also, having to
hard drives - it is also more efficient to have them on different channels.

Go from there with your setup and usage.
