ATI 9700 Pro & Asus P4P800 Motherboard

The Asus manual states "use only version PN xxx-xxxxx-30 or later for optimum performance and stability". My card does not meet this specification. When I contacted ATI for warrantee replacement they disputed Asus's claim. Does anyone know what's the truth?

I also have the P4S800 motherboard with a 9700 Pro, I just put the sytem together last night, I am having seroius problems, the card doesnt crash but it will get these funny looking lines that seem to bleed when I run a 3D application like UT2003. It doesnt happen right away but after a few minutes of gameplay. I have tried all the different catalyst drivers and 2 different display drivers. I even experienced this problem in bios, so I know its not a driver or an OS problem, lemme know if you fnd a fix, im about 30 seconds away from returning this video card.
