Its up to you, but I would consider...

VGA CHAINTECH GEFORCE4 TI4800SE128MB VGA & TV-OUT, DVI OUT
$141 @ newegg

or

POWERCOLOR ATI RADEON 9500 128MB DDR 8X AGP
$142 @ newegg

or

MSI G4Ti4200-TD (8870-040) GF4 TI4200 128MB 128bit TV-OUT DVI VGA Card
$121 @ newegg

into that list i'd toss a:

Gainward FX PowerPack! Ultra/760 TV/DVI GeForce FX 5600 AGP 8X 128MB DDR w/TV-Out & DVI Retail $135 @ gameve.com/pricewatch

Humm... You should check benchmark on Tom's... I think a GeForce would offer better performance in CAD than ATI... But, not sure!

Check through the articles!

Yes, Nvidia's drivers perform much better than Ati's for professional cad work.

One thing to consider about the ATI is that I believe it would offer better performance in DirectX9 games (right?). Also, ATI tends to produce better image quality. For current games, a 9500 nonpro would probably not beat some of those NVidia cards. Check out the benchmarks here:

But as "watten" specified in his post. He seems to do more CAD than gaming. And GeForce drivers gives better performance in CAD software.

I I was him, I would consider the GeForce for better CAD and I would sacrifice some quality and performance in games.

Anyway, if you chekc is system SPEC he would not see much difference between ATI/GeForce in game performance.

A 9500 non-pro is pretty much exactly on par with the Ti4200, beating it with AA and ansio enabled but losing slightly with them disabled.

You really can't lose with any of those Geforce4's, especially if you're also doing cad work.
