I've noticed that several people are commenting on things they have no clue about. This is mostly in the ATI vs Nvidia threads, but I personally think it's gone a bit far.

If you have no experience with a card and haven't read the reviews, why are you posting hearsay and stuff that is blatently false?

Most of us post links and comment on them. Several people keep coming forward, ignorning the links, and then posting crap that seems to be made up.

You know who you are. Stop already.

dhlucke, I'm going to go OT in your thread, sorry but I wanted to post something and didnt want to start a new thread about it. Forgive me.

Not a lot of new info nowadays, but don't worry, because here's some GPU:RW-only info!
First of all, nVidia is set to rejoin FutureMark's beta program. Amusing, isn't it?
And secondly, FutureMark agreed to do a demo ( I don't believe this is a benchmark demo, just something like Dawn ) for nVidia's NV40, to be launched at Comdex.

nVIDIA is rejoining Futuremark it seems. All is well in 3D land. I'd also like to mention that the fastest video card on the ORB right now is an FX5900Ultra. Though it's not using HQL drivers. Futuremark wants nVIDIA's money pretty bad I'm guessing, and cant be a successful buisiness while squabbling with them.

I don't know if it's Futuremark wanting Nvidia's money so much as it's probably Futuremark wanting to keep their own money without fear of litigation.

Maybe Futuremark 2004 will have Nvidias "The way it's meant to be played" logo on it... heheh
