I can get a LEADTEK GEFORCE4 TI 4400 128meg for $125. I heard some remarks that people had to use a block of wood to get the card to seat. If not they would get all wavy lines or not work at all. Can anyone tell me if I should get this card? Looks kewl with its huge heatsink and two fans.

I'm guessing you are talking about this card ? It seems to be decent from what I can tell from these benchmarks. About the same price as a good MSI GF4 Ti4200.

Yeah thats the one. I read on another tech board that poeple are having trouble seating this card. I would assume that maybe those big ass heatsinks might have clearance problems. Not sure. I was hoping to get more feedback about this issue.

You can overclock the hell out of any Leadtek brand card. That's why I'm waiting for their FX5900.

I have that card, but it’s not noisy or any harder to put in then any other card. The heat sink on the ram only sticks up about a ¼ inch and won’t be problem. It’s very long though 8 ½ inches.

Dang. Its a toss up between this Leadtek GF2 4400 $125 and the Sapphire Radeon 9600pro for $132. So confusing! lol
Then there is the option to get a Radeon 9500 used. hmm

Sorry I can’t help, others know better where the cards line up. I did hear a rumor that a 9500 can be push close to a 9700, lol, but I don’t know.

Hehe, actually I figured that would look familiar to some. Suppose I should list his name, if that is who I’m quoting from. I’ll be changing it soon enough anyways.
