I have the machine on the sig and i can only get around 11700 marks in 3Dmark2001 SE..i have both the cpu and the gf4 overclocked ( bios and rivatuner )and i still can´t get 12000+ ..why the hell ? i´ve seen loads of guys with weaker machines getting 13000 and 14000 :\ it is really disapointing me. I have both the anti aliasing and the anisotropic filtering off and i think i´ve set the best configuration for performance in the video card properties.
Have the most recent drivers btw..

Game 1 Car Chase - Low Detail 172.0 FPS

i usually get that much with my 1700+ and TI4200 with only the ram overclocked to 500mhz

what is your card overclocked to? anything running in teh background? uninstall your old drivers before you install the new ones?

I'm only getting 11,000 with my Ti4200, and he has twice the system I do(well, not really)
He should be getting more, but no biggie. I bet his games play nice...

I was trying out the omega driver that said I might get a slit performance loss.

Omega driver 7945 OC 8314

Nv 44.03 driver 14038 OC 15060

Yes a slit performance hit.

I get 9800 with my Ti4200, XP1800+, 512MB PC2100, all at stock speed (with BIOS tweaks).

You need to play some games. I think you've maxed your 3DMark score...

try run your cpu and memory synchronously

Reply to Nights_L

well if your THAT desparate for "3DMARKS" then format yoru hard drive, install all the newest drivers for your hardware FRESH

yes you will lose everything on your computer, and you will have to reinstall all your games. but unless you really know how to tweak a system that is sometimes what you have to do . ive had to do it before.
especially if you have one brand of video card and install another one on the same windows install.

try taht and your system will work better. a fresh install of windows with only the newest drivers installed always helps no matter what

I think whilst getting a high 3Dmark score is nice it is very unbalanced. I ran 3Dmark 2001SE last night a few times and got between 10373 & 10442 with the system detailed below not OC'd, 2003 sees a score of 1397. I compared my 2001SE score on-line to find chumps with the same system getting in the 12000 region. Play some games, if the games run well, then you dont really need the benchmark scores cos at the end of the day we all just want games to run like silk with as much detail as poss and 3D mark is "supposed" to give a good idea as to how your games will run but it doesnt always...I'd say use UT2003 or runs fraps in game. As longs as I get a solid 60fps I dont care what my score is.

Give a lazy man an easy job and he'll find an easier way of doing it.

Or you could just type "stat fps" in the ut2k3 console and screw fraps, and save a teensy bit of overhead. (for that extra .1 fps!)

Fraps doesnt eat 1 fps you bonehead.
If you want to have fun while listening to Pink Floyd Willamette, in the UT2K3 console type= firstcoloredmip 1
Then press enter.
