Graphics interference

I have a problem in that after I use my pc for a while I see lines scrolling across the screen. It's not like the video card is drawing the lines it's more like a interference. However, I testing my video card on another system and I saw the same thing. My system is a Pentium 3 Coppermine CPU, Hercules 3DProphet II Ultra video card and WinXP Pro Operating system.

I am starting to think it is the Win2000/XP refresh problem I see around on the net.

Has anyone had a similiar problem?

Try turning on your Vsync. If cannot, try reinstall the driver for your card.

Hi Boot - thanks for the reply.
I can try turning on vsync but isn't this supposed to be a bad things because it slows down performance?

I don't think it is driver because the 2 systems I was using different versions.

It's not a bad thing. It just makes the VGA card sync with your monitor. So that could only makes the performance drop a little bit.

and it also makes the game runs smoother as well.
