Ok I had to rant about this after reading it god knows how many times:

I can't understand how people seem to think we know more than Carmack and the Half-Life 2 producer, by coming and asking us for a card that will run HL2 at max settings at x by x resolution.
Seriously, what are we, freakin' psychics? I am sorry but it's stupid to ask this, stupid!
People, we will GLADLY help you get a new video card, it is our pleasure to recommend whatnot, but for christ's sake we ARE NOT SEERS who can see through years ahead or months ahead and tell you what damn game the card will run, especially heavy-duty games like HL2 and DOOM III.
God! I mean, seriously, they expect so much from us!

So people who post these ridiculous questions arent going to read this thread?...guess I wasnt guilty of said type of question...

I only asked to see IF, note "IF" anyone knew what would likely run it well on the off chance that someone had heard something I hadnt. Anyway, I appreciate the input I recieved and am not b!tching about certain people not liking those sorts of questions. I have learnt my lesson...Eden is not a Psycic SuperHero ;-P

Give a lazy man an easy job and he'll find an easier way of doing it.

Thanks for not taking it any personally. I don't think I had read your post previously, that might have had such question and then ranted. I know by experience and being here for a good while that this has become pretty constant.
I understand the newcomer kind of questions, such as "Is my power supply enough" or "Which GFX should I go for with x money", but I appreciate them and don't think it's wrong. I really would object against this kind of question, since it's true, none of us really work in the industry in one of the 2 big companies in question. If I had used for once the final product, I might be able to give an answer.

Anyways, thanks to all who didn't take it badly. I do rant occasionally, yall know I whine a lot anyways!
