I made a post in cpu but nobody seems to be replying so I thought I'd try here.

I have a new system and I am only getting 4500+ in 3d mark 03.

I have a P4 3gz 800 fsb, abit IC7 mb, 1024Twinx Corsair PC3200 Ram, Radeon 9800 Pro. Nothing OC'd yet.

I've updated all drivers and mb bios and I have disabled unused Winxp Pro services.

Got a couple specific questions.

Should I use the rage3d tweaker for the card or powerstrip?

If I disable powerstrip or 3drage will it still lock refreshrates or will windows set them back to 60 when I run a game?

If I OC my vid card what range should I try, and should I just OC the vid chip or the ram also? If yes to both, should I keep them at a certain ratio to eachother?

My BIOS has a few functions that I don't know about and 1 that I can't get to work right. All are set to AUTO right now.

Game Accelerator (When I set this to F1 I get a BIOS Checksum Error and I need to clear my Cmos)

Refresh Cycle TIme

Read Delay (tRD)
Read Delay Adjust (tRDA)
Command Per Clock (CPC)

What should I do with these? Also why can't I use F1 for Game accelerator? I have a good system with good parts...

My current memory timings are 2.5, 6, 3, 2

Thanks for any advice on how to improve my system. :)

Ok I found out from corsair forums that i needed to up my voltage a bit.

I still need to know how I should be OC'd my 9800pro. Do I raise the clock and memory the same ammount? Do I leave the memory alone? How much? etc etc

Also, once I've set the OC timing, can I close powerstrip or do I need to keep it running?

I also still dunno what to do about most of the settings in my first post

You have a 3gig p4 and a 9800pro. At stock speeds you should get 5200+ in 3dm03. And you shouldnt need to up the agp voltage any if your motherboard is recent and has the latest bios. Sort out the stock problem before overclocking
