Interview with OmegaDrive @ OCA about NV fiasco.

OCaddiction had an interview with 'OmegaDrive' of Omega Corner about the recent dust-up with with NV's lawyers.

It's an interesting read for those keeping tabs on this and other issues involving NV and the gaming community. Do you think the community has any influence on the companies? Read the article, see what you think; and then maybe contact Nvidia and convey your thoughts/comments/questions.

See my origianl thread in THGC about this issue, first to break the story on the main forums (I think).

That was an interesting read.

All the more making me mad. I don't understand nVidia anymore. They want the gamers but they won't support them?!

I think that nVidia's lawyers think that they are just protecting their company's intellectual property. It's a shame that no one from nVidia stepped up and said "Leave Omegadrive alone," like the guy from ATi did. I can't believe that any company would purposely alienate their own customers. I can very easily believe that there is a lack of clear communication between lawyers and engineers.

Occam's razor says blame it on the lawyers.

It's even worse when he is accused of reverse engineering the work when he does not disassemble the code.

Personally I am getting VERY fed up with such bullying by nVidia, to the point I'd be glad if they went down like 3dFX, and learn their lesson. Might be good to see Matrox back up or S3.

Trident can go suck a nut, it's been over 6 months the XP4 should've been out!

Thanks for the info. I took the time to send Nvidia an e-mail to voice my displeasure. C'mon guys get typing and send them an e-mail (let's not be unheard).
