Question:

If I win both flips (heads) from Krark's Thumb (and choose heads), do i
still get two counters on
Chance Encounter. Im asking since Chance Encounter says "whenever
I win a coin flip"

Thanks

Nope. When Krark's Thumb says "ignore one", it really means *ignore*
it. It didn't happen. Chance Encounter doesn't see it.

No. The ignored flip for Krark's Thumb is treated as though it never happened
at all.

It will only trigger once per coin flip you end up winning; with Krark's Thumb
in play you do not "win two coin flips", you flip twice and ignore one, and
win (or lose) once.

Here's what Krark's Thumb says:

Krark' Thumb (Mirrodin rare)
2
Legendary Artifact
If you would flip a coin, instead flip two coins and ignore one.

Therefore, Chance Encounter only sees one coin being flipped. KT doesn't
say "ignore one except for purposes of Chance Encounter", or anything
like that; it says "ignore one".

No need to get snitchy, this is one of only 7 cards in magic that use
the word ignore, and the only one that tells you to ignore an action,
the rest tell you to ignore some effect (or errata, but who cares
about UNH). So not knowing what happens only means that you haven't
been reading rulings for the past year, not that your an idiot

You have read something into my message that I can assure you was not
there.
