Basics
The sections at the left side are what you use
If you click player, then go to the top menu there's an option to "Create"
player....
and that's what you use to make your players, then goto the "contract"
section of them, to add them to a team (click the red arrow)
if you click the "clubs" tab first. you can CREATE your team in the same
way
it's actually pretty easy once you start playing around with it.

Pre-game all the way. Once you are done editing, you have to start a new
game for the changes to take effect.

Thanks Mikael,
I presume that I can still play the game I'm playing at the moment?

Some changes might (well where in CM03/04) : renaming of clubs, competitions
and awards affects save games and possibly grounds.

It definitely affects grounds. Every ground i've renamed, then written over
the DB with the original once i've made a saved game has reverted back to
it's original name.
