Hi,

we are running WinXP Professional SP2 at home.

Recently we found that one of the users is only able to log on after
performing a shutdown.
Trying to log on after someone else did, the desktop background of the new
user appears and then the system hangs. CTRL+ALT+DEL does not work and the
only thing which can be done is to perform a hardware reset.
After the hardware reset, the user is able to log in and work without any
problem.

Creating another account and restoring the mailbox (mailbox.pst) of the
original user, the problem remains.
So I tend to conclude that Outlook (2002 SP3) may be involved.

No problems reported in the event viewers.

Anyone any clue ?
Any relevant help very much appreciated.
