Um, my teacher keeps giving me these quizs on OLD os' how do i find these answers if i don't have the OS infront of me..

when win95 boots, it makes a copy of the registry files and gives them the ext.

DA0
ZIP

im going with DA0 on this one..?

in win 3.x if you delete a hidden file called 386spart.par what have you removed?

1) DA0 is correct

2) vcache

3) swap file. (it's actually a temporary swap file as opposed to a permanent swap file, the difference being it is not locked on the disk, i.e. it can be allocated sectors anywhere just like a regular file)

How to find:

Use google to search for information.

Q's 1 and 3 could have been answered by looking up used for file extensions.

Q 2 a little trickier but using key words like DOS and "smart drive", with some patience, will lead you to the correct answer.
