how do i get rid of the "previous address"

everytime i type in a new address, i got an automatically previous address
pop up at the botttom of the address bar...it's annoying...someone please
tell me how i can get rid of it?...i mean permanently. I already used the
clear history on the "internet option", but I want to set it to clear it
forever, i don't want the automatically "search address" to pop up again!...
In aol browser, there is a setting in the "clear history", you can set it and
the automatic search is gone permanently, but not in this IE...it's
annnoying! HElp!

Go back to Internet Options.
Click on the Content page.
Click on the AutoComplete button.
Remove the check mark next to Web addresses.
Remove the rest of the check marks if you wish.
You can also hit the two "Clear" buttons while you're there.
