What happends is, only a few minutes after the computer is started up
and logged into windows I can no longer start any new programs, but the
programs I started before this random occasion works fine and I can do
whatever I want with them. I don't get any error messages or anything
indicating something is wrong, they just won't start. Also I can't do
anything like opening the task manager, rebooting, logging out.

I have tried turning about every non essential app of from the
autostart but with no success. I also uninstalled every program that
I've installed the last few days except windows media player 10, and
now after writing this I realise I should uninstall this to, but I'll
go on with my post and uninstall it after :P

I've also ran a few virus scans (required a few tries to get all the
way through, since the virus program is the only one that stops working
after its starts behaving wierd), without finding anything

Note that I am not running SP2 for various reasons, but i don't think
that I have to get it just to be able to run programs, right?

Hope somebody knows this problem, because i can't find anything about
it anywhere..
