I am having many problems with windows XP and i don't know what the problem is, I am constantly losing files off of my Hard-Drive, Windows XP brings up error messages all of the time saying this program must close, do you wish to send a report, i keep getting messages flashing up saying that this file is corrupt or that file is corrupt, i run chkdsk and i get heaps of truncated file errors.

Anybody have any idea's.

 This is an exceptionally bas sig!

The list of possible cuases could be long. It could be (starting from where I usually start) bad power supply, bad memory, bad hard drive, or hard drive controller/mother board, or a windows error. If you don't have a PS tester, I'd download a memory tester, and if you go to the manufacter of your hard drive's website, they usually have diagnostic program you can download. If those both pass, you may want to try reinstalling windows. Also check system properties for any conflicts.
