DVI-D or DVI-I on the 9000 Pro?

bump, anyone out there have a 9000 Pro?

The RAMDACS on these cards are generally small (about 1/4 inch square) and have a lot of tiny legs. If you look at several cards you'll see that some have two, some have one, and some that have one...have a blank spot for the second.

What's worse is that a lot of manufacturers have figured out that it's cheaper to use DVI-I connectos on ALL their cards rather than maintain 2 separate parts bins. So you can't even tell by looking at the connector anymore.

The 9000/9000 PRO series are supposed to have dual integral RAMDACs, at least that's according to ATI's specifications page. Still, dual CRT support is not always mentioned and after my Radeon 8500 mistake I never assume dual CRT unless specifically listed in specifications of a particular card.

Have you confirmed that some have an outboard RAMDAC? If so it would make it easier to confirm dual CRT support.

I've never seen the cards, myself.

I've just looked at various cards newegg sells. It's some kind of DAC. I see two of them on ATI cards that have dual CRT support (including DVI to CRT adapters), and one on boards that only support 1 CRT and 1 DVI connection.

It was most easily identified by comparing two cards directly, such as the 8500 and some 8500LE's.
