DEAD LAPTOP AFTER A POP NOISE

IM NO LAPTOP REPAIRMAN SO HERE WE GO. I WAS USING MY LAPTOP WITH IT PLUGGED INTO THE WALL AND IT MADE A SNAP OR POP NOISE AND DIED AND WONT DO ANYTHING AT ALL. NO LIGHTS OR ANYTHING. ANY IDEAS ? ITS A GATEWAY IF THAT MATTERS.
