I copied all my documents from my Wordpad Windows 98 onto floppy's. We now
have Windows XP and can't open any of them. They still open on Windows 98.
I either get a message to reformat or that Word can't be opened in Windows.
Any ideas?

Try opening the files with the compatibility wizard.
Start>All Programs>Accessories>Program Compatibility Wizard
There you have choice to use the Win98 feature, it may work. :~)
