It'll be the Radeon 9900 Pro. The core is called the R380 (or is it RV380?), and its the in-between card untill the R420, the Radeon TEN MILLION comes out.

WS, the R380 will be (if it does come out, may be skipped yet) a top end card and it would be the replacement for the R9800's replacement (the R360), but it's still not clear if the R380 will ever hit shelves or whether they will skip it. The RV380 is supposed to be the replacement for the R9600Pro's replacement. The 'V' is for value. The RV350 is the R9600, it's replacement is the RV360, and the RV380 will be the PCI-EX card <A HREF="http://www.xbitlabs.com/news/video/display/20030616162537.html" target="_new">HERE's</A> the link I posted a while back describing the RV380/R420.

The R360 MAY be called the R9900 but there is no way to be sure, I think THAT's the one he was refering to (especially since the release dates say late summer ['cause it's already past 'mid']). Whether there will be an R10,000 or whether they will change the naming scheme seems up for debate. I Like the idea of the Radeon X, but that's just me.

Expect the RV38 and R360 in the LATE summer or early fall, don't expect the R420/RV380/NV40 until the end of 2003 or beginning of 2004 (likely announced Q4'03 and on shelves Q1 '04). That NV38 article above speaks to release dates and strategies.

EDIT: And yes the R360 is VERY OLD news!
