The Send Mail Send a Link under Tools in IE will not function - I hit it
while on a page that I want to send and nothing happens. Any Answers or
suggestions?

Thanks Jim

Jim,

Which email client is set as the default? Meanwhile, try this command from
Start, Run:

regsvr32 sendmail.dll

Ramesh, MS-MVP - I applied the Start run regsvr32sendmail.dll - it said that
it activated - BUT still no action on the send page or send a link. Where do
I check the default email client and what should it be? Thanks Jim

Jim,

Open Internet Options (in IE), click Programs tab
Select a different mail client from the list and choose Apply
Repeat the same, and this time select your preferred email client.

Hi Jim,

>> Start run regsvr32sendmail.dll

There should be a space between "32" and "sendmail". See if that helps. If
not, type these commands in Start/Run:

"%programfiles%\Outlook Express\msimn.exe" /reg
regsvr32 "%ProgramFiles%\Outlook Express\msoe.dll"

Jim,

Here are few more steps that I can suggest:

1. Clear the %Temp% and Temporary Internet Files folder completely and try
again

2. Verify if the DLLPath is set correctly in this registry key(to msoe.dll)

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Clients\Mail\Outlook Express
(Click Start/Run and type Regedit, to open Registry Editor)

If nothing helps:
3. Download DefaultMail from my site:
http://windowsxp.mvps.org/defaultmail.htm
Unzip, and run the exe file. Set Outlook Express as the profile-default mail
client.

Ramesh - I do not see DLL PATH msoe.dll anywhere in this registry? I will
try the download before I send this to you. I did the download as directed,
but do not see any action. Jim

Jim,

There should be a DLLPath value, otherwize the "Send To" options don;t work.
I'm unsure if youy've correctly registered this DLL (command-line below):

regsvr32 "%ProgramFiles%\Outlook Express\msoe.dll"

What's the error message you got (if any)?
