I've been having this problem in my notebook for some time. The VGA card
has now been replaced and it is a lot better now. Have you tried
updating your VGA driver, especially if you get any error messages
referring to VGA problems, infinite loop, blue screen errors?
What system have you got, more detail of hardware/ software etc. might
help!
