I have the matshita cw7582. When I go to burn a cd I get the message that
the disc is not writable (It is happening with all wrtiable cd's - different
brands...). Sometimes if I turn off the computer for a while and turn it
back on it will work. the drivers are the ones from XP and the version is
5.1.2535.0. This is frustrating. Thanks for the heop.

Are you using Windows wrtining application or 3rd party?

Please state what steps and with which app your are endeavouring to write

I am using windows xp application - send files to be copied, choose copy to
cd option, choose the default name given for the cd and then click on the
next? key. Message that there is no cd in the drive or insert a cd that is
writable. I do not have any other burning software installed.
