MainBoard Name Hewlett-Packard HP G5000 (GH960EA#AB8)
Main Board Chipset Mobile Intel Calistoga-GML i940GML/i943GML
System Memory 1526 MB (DDR2-667 DDR2 SDRAM)
DIMM1: Samsung M4 70T2864EH3-CE6 1 GB DDR2-667 DDR2 SDRAM (5-5-5-15 @ 333 MHz) (4-4-4-12 @ 266 MHz) (3-3-3-9 @ 200 MHz)
DIMM3: Ramaxel Tech. RMN1150LA38D6F-667 512 MB DDR2-667 DDR2 SDRAM (5-5-5-15 @ 333 MHz) (4-4-4-12 @ 266 MHz) (3-3-3-9 @ 200 MHz)

I want to learn which CPUs are supported by its mainboard (motherboard) ?
And also maximum of how much RAMs can i use with it? I wish to remove current rams and add 2*2gb 667mhz ddr2 RAMs.

One way to tell what CPU upgrades would work would be to see what optional CPUs were originally offered in that laptop.
HP G5060ET Notebook PC Product Specifications
But in your case it seems the T2130 was the only CPU offered in that model.

Next step would be figuring out what motherboard is in your laptop and trying to find out what CPUs are compatible. To do that - run CPU-z. It's Mainboard tab will list the details about the motherboard and it's installed BIOS version.

in 1-2hrs i will connect laptop with Teamviewer and check with cpu-z.
then will write down here all specs needed.

somebody told me that it can work with intel T5500 .
but need advise of experts before trying it.

Another option might be finding other HP G5060ET owners and seeing what they have already done successfully for CPU upgrades. The HP community forums would be the right place to find them, I would think.

Intel Pentium Dual-Core Mobile T2130 specs @ CPU-World

at the bottom of the page is the CPUs, related to Intel Pentium T2130 section.
It lists other CPUs in the same family that might be candidates for upgrading.
But it will be what the motherboard that has the final say on what it can support.

I'm not having any luck finding an authoritative source that lists CPUs that motherboard can support.
And Google isn't turning up any matches for that model ... "HP G5060ET & T7600" ... for example.

You might need to punt this one over into the HP support forums and see if you can't find someone there with a better idea what your options are.

i created a post today at hp support forum.
i also called hp support service but they either could not find anything.
so will wait for an answer from hp forums.

I guess I'm not surprised that HP phone support didn't know.
They probably looked through the same files I did.

Looking back at the T2130 1.86Ghz vs T5500 1.66Ghz suggestion .. I'm pretty sure this would have been going backward in terms of performance.

Or maybe not.
Pentium Dual-Core Mobile T2130 scored 812 points on the Passmark CPU benchmark test. And Core 2 Duo Mobile T5500 scored 925. That's about 14% in favor of the T5550, quite a bit more than I expected.
But it's a very small increase in performance if you're talking about buying a new CPU and going through the trouble of installing it.

Core2 Duo T7600 @ 2.33GHz scored 1341. Or about 65%...

Will those work fine is the only matter. i need to be sure before buying it. installing part is not problem. if i can open the back cover i can install new cpu correctly.

There isn't enough performance increase going from T2130 to T5500 to justify the upgrade. It would seem essentially 'the same' to you IMO.

T7600 would be a worthy upgrade - but I can't confirm that CPU works in your motherboard.
Anything from the HP forums?
