Escaped Shapeshifter's Oracle text reads as follows:

Shouldn't that say "not named Escaped Shapeshifter" rather than "other
than an Escaped Shapeshifter"? Such text normally refers to subtypes,
not names, and there is no such creature type as "Escaped".

Or (since it equals the cards name) it refers to the actual card which
is also nonsense because it can't be controlled by an opponent then.
I agree it would be better the way you suggest.

Yes, it should. Note that this sort of error is very difficult to search
Oracle comprehensively for, however... Passing this on up.
