/Argh!

Spent a long few days trying to find the cause of a xp boot crash, post Catalyst 3.6 driver suit install "Windows Delayed Write Failure, cannot find c:\$mft...all data will be lost" and many other same type errors, then crunch..no boot..casuing me to reinstall many times before i read the instructions on the Catalyst install ..and thought I would share that info with you, so someone else doesn't have to go thru the struggle I did...

I ,foolishly, kept setting performance to " Use large system cache'or use memory for system cache, as I have (2) 512Mb sticks of ddr333 running dual channel on a nforce2 ultra mobo, thought nothing of it, but, apparently, the Catalyst drivers DON't like that setting...grrr

So, that setting is off, and all is well....Back to SOF2 killin!

If you are a gaming fan, try the omega drivers instead :)

Optimised for gaming and the 3.6's are nice and stable on my machine.
