Laptop disconnects from network when using offline files

I have this problem with a Dell Laptop,with a built in wireless NIC. Whenever
is access offline files from the on-line server,it is ok for a minute or
two,then it just "disconnects" from the network while working with the
file.It does this wired or wireless. poss. I have tried the laptop with other
connections throughout the office,same thing. I have the setting to "do not
allow computer to disconnect" in the offline file properties. any ideas would
be helpful. Possible NIC card itself??????? Thanks in advance
