everytime i start my computer, how come this fax thing keeps on showing up
when i do not have a fax? it is a small window in the middle of my screen
called windows fax and it is searching for a fax from a CD but i dont not
have the CD nor do i have a fax.. how do i get rid of it because its getting
annoying!

If you no longer use Fax feature, disable the Fax service via Services.msc
applet.

Fax Service: Enables you to send and receive faxes, utilizing fax resources
available on this computer or on the network.
