I have just bought a 3D Blaster 5 from Creative (equipped with a Geforce FX 5900 Ultra and 256 Mbs DDR. In the features it says that the card use a 450 Mhz core clock. But when I run 3DMark03 (last patch) it says the core clock is 300.9 Mhz. Where is the problem? Thanks.

Have you ever installed a game and it said you had a 300MHZ instead of the 1 gig you have!!!.well maybe the program has a flaw in reading video clock speeds.I,m sure some one here can give you some insight of the problem,I would test it for you on mine, but I don't have the 3dmark installed.Sorry.I thank you got the best if it,s creative product.I still have my Creative Video gf2 Ultra which made the editors award of PCGAMER back when :).

300 MHz is the speed the card slows down to when a 3D application is not running. This reduces heat and power consumption when the 450 MHz speed is not needed, and it is likely that 3DMark is reading the 2D speed.

Ooops, that explains everything, because 3Dmark03 check the core clock before the 3D tests. Thank you very much, simwiz2... :)
